LIFE IN POST PANDEMIC PERIOD

Everything came to a standstill with the entry of an uninvited guest into the world, COVID-19 pandemic. Its entry became historic, affecting everyone, in the world. No matter whether you belong to a developed country or undeveloped Country. Whether you were born as a Christian, a Hindu or Muslim. It shook everyone. But taken positively COVID-19 teaches us good things from various angles and perspectives.

Learning in Lockdown

With national close downs human beings learnt to limit the needs and engage in caring and sharing activities. Though educational institutions are closed down but they opened new platforms for learning from families, from parents and one’s own siblings. Markets are closed down and it paved way for making kitchen garden and cultivation in one’s own land. Celebrations are controlled and we learnt the value of money and judicial spending. The so-called social gatherings are banned and we learnt that the family is the basic unit of society and it’s our duty to safeguard for the future generation. As hotels are shutdown, we learnt to avoid hotel foods and start eating homemade food. We learnt to eat our food as medicines and medicine intakes are reduced leaving us in better health. Working from home created an atmosphere of proximity among family members. Children got a chance to be with their parents for long time at home and this accelerated the interpersonal relations and joy of living together. As the journeys are limited we have more time to be with our own.
Our Government officials, health workers and police department became very active and alert and are concerned for the wellbeing of citizens. The lockdown gifted us with a pollution free environment. It is serene and clean more than ever. Animals are at peace. Farming which was an under- standard job is emerging as the necessity of our time. One enjoys the fruit of one’s own hard work and there is contentment. Nature slowly purifed everything, regaining its natural beauty. Everything is settling back to an equilibrium.
New technologies make communication much easier and work from home possible today. But no technology is superior to God. Time proved it .Thus life goes on with renewed faith and more trust in God.
